There are specific services covered by IHSS and most Recipients will not be authorized all of these services. IHSS Recipients are authorized different services and hours for each service. It is important to find out the services and hours authorized for your IHSS Recipient so that you can perform the necessary tasks and plan your work schedule accordingly. Once you have been assigned to your Recipient's case, you will receive the IHSS Provider Notification of Recipient Authorized Hours and Services and Maximum Weekly Hours (SOC 2271) and it will list your Recipient's authorized IHSS services.
